Liverpool and Netherlands defender, Virgil van Dijk, has been voted UEFA Player Of the Year.
Van Dijk beat off competition from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, to clinch the award.
He becomes the first ever player from the Netherlands to pick up the award.
Van Dijk was instrumental to Liverpool’s Champions League triumph as they landed their sixth title.
