Liverpool Make Dramatic Comeback Against Barcelona To Book Champions League Final Spot

Liverpool did the unthinkable on Tuesday night to beat Barcelona 4-0 and qualify for the final of the UEFA Champions League.

 

Goals by Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum were all the Reds needed to complete their comeback from a 3-0 loss at Camp Nou in the first leg.

Liverpool, who were without star forwards, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, had to rely on Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi, with the former rewarding coach Jurgen Klopp’s faith with a brace.

The Reds started the game brightly scoring in the seventh minute.

Wijnaldum, who was introduced in the second half in place of Andrew Robertson, grabbed the Reds’ second in the 54thminute.

The Netherlands midfielder grabbed the leveller two minutes later.

Liverpool took control of the fixture in the 79th with Origi getting his second of the game.
