Britney Spears’ conservatorship has been extended by the courts after her planned revaluation court date was pushed back due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The pop legend’s hearing was due to take place on Tuesday April, however, rules on coronavirus have caused the courts to push the date back.

Britney’s new court date is said to be July 22, 2020, according to US website ET Online.

They add that all temporary orders will be extended until a August 22, 2020.
Britney is currently in a legal battle to have the restrictions she lives under to be relaxed.

The conservatorship was initially put in place a as a temporary measure during the height of Britney’s troubles.

While many acknowledge that without her father Jamie Spears seeking help form the courts and placing his daughter into the legal bind they question if it is still needed.
Traditionally a conservatorship is used for an elderly person when they are no longer able to make decisions or look after themselves.

During her time in the conservatorship Britney has embarked on multiple world tours, completed a record breaking Las Vegas residency and released a string of albums.
She’s also been a mentor/ judge on Simon Cowell’s X Factor USA.
Speaking about her life in 2008 documentary Britney: For The Record, the Work Bitch singer said: “I think it’s too in control.

If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated.
“When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening.”
Britney heartbreakingly added: “If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time.
“I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free

“There is no excitement, there is no passion. I have really good days and then I had bad days.
“Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you are gonna get out.

“But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day.”
