Super Falcons Climb One Spot In Latest FIFA Ranking

Reigning African champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria, climbed one place from 39th to 38th in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings.

 

The rankings which was released on Friday was published on FIFA’s official website.

In Africa, the World Cup bound Falcons are still the number one ranked team.

France, hosts of this year’s women’s World Cup and who are drawn in Group A with the Falcons, dropped one spot to fourth place.

In first place are the United States of America, second are Germany with England and Canada taking the third and fifth spots respectively.

Norway and South Korea who are also in the Falcons’ group, are 12th and 14th respectively.

Meanwhile, World Cup debutants South Africa dropped to 49th and Cameroon remained in the 46th position.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking will be published on 12 July 2019.
