Former France international, Franck Ribery, will depart Bayern Munich at the end of the current campaign after 12 years with the Bundesliga champions.
The club made the announcement on their verified Twitter handle on Sunday.
“Franck Ribery will not extend his contract with FC Bayern, and will leave this summer.
“Thank you for everything, Franck,” the club wrote.
Speaking on his departure from Bayern, the former Marseille star said: “When I came to Bayern, it was a dream come true. It won’t be easy to say goodbye, but we must never forget what we’ve achieved together,” enthused Ribéry, “we’ve won so much together – more than 20 honours.”
Also leaving Bayern in the summer is former Netherlands star Arjen Robben who joined the Bavarians from Real Madrid in 2009.
The club have also announced that there will be a major farewell and testimonial match for both players in 2020.
