Pochettino Fears Kane Out For Rest Of Season With Ankle Injury

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has expressed his fears star striker, Harry Kane’s season is over after he suffered an injury in Tuesday night’s Champions League 1-0 win against Manchester City.

Kane hobbled down the tunnel after damaging his left ankle following a tough challenge from City’s Fabian Delph.
It was the same ankle he injured against Manchester United back in January, which ruled him out for more than a month.
“It’s very, very sad. It’s going to be tough and we’re going to miss him – maybe for the rest of the season,” Pochettino said while giving an update on the injury in his post-match analysis.
“Bad news. It was his ankle, the same ankle. It looks similar to before.
“It is a very very sad night. I was happy with the performance and victory but sad because of the injury.
“Hopefully it isn’t a big issue and we will check in the next few days.”
The Argentine coach added: “If you see the action, it’s an action that he maybe twists his ankle, can really damage the ligaments.
“We need to check in the next few days. It’s so painful. Yes, I worry it’s the end of his season.
“We have to hope it’s not a big issue, but it doesn’t look good.”
