Music Duo, Skuki Lose Mother

Nigerian singing brothers, Skuki, has lost their mother at the age of 70.

 

The two brothers, whose real names are Tumininu Laolu-Oguniyi and Atewologun Laolu-Ogunniyi. They are also known as Vavavoom (Tumininu) and Peeshaun (Atewologun).

They both took to their Instagram pages to make the announcement.

“I lost my mum. My world! My universe! My everything!”, Peeshaun wrote after making the announcement.

He went further to say pay tribute to his late mother, saying all he is today is as a result of his mother’s efforts.

“OMOLOLA OMOLADUN OGUNNIYI! All that I am, is made up of little pieces of beautiful you; mummy. You showed me how to navigate this complex world in JEHOVAH’S way. I am one of the footprints you have left in this world.
“THANK YOU! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU THOUGHT ME MUMMY. I LOVE YOU!”

Also, Vavavoom, said her late mother was his mentor said she will be greatly missed. He also thanked her for teaching him everything he knows today.

“48hours ago i lost my bestfriend, my mentor, my inspiration, my world, my everything. My BEAUTIFUL MOTHER, I would miss you so so much.. Thank you for everything you’ve thought me….To share kindness and love…but most importantly to serve JEHOVAH. I know i will SEE YOU AGAIN IN PARADISE. LOVE YOU MUMMY…A.K.A MOMA A.K.A MILEH!!!! LOVE YOU!!!! LOVE YOU!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!❤❤❤❤💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭 😍😍😍😍. 70years never looked better.”

The duo are greatly known in the Nigerian music scene with songs like ‘Fire’, ‘Banger’ ‘Stamina’, among others.

Their debut single, ‘Fire’ stayed on the Africa Edition of the Channel O Top 10 Chart for four months and was number one for four consecutive weeks.
