Man United Agree Loan Deal With Inter For Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United have agreed a loan deal with Inter Milan for Alexis Sanchez, a report has said.

According to ESPN, Sanchez will spend the season at the San Siro, after the two clubs reached an agreement that will see United pay a certain amount of the former Arsenal star’s wages, but the deal does not include an option to buy.

The report said the Chilean is expected to fly to Italy to undergo a medical and be confirmed as an Inter player before the European transfer deadline on September 2.

It further said the Premier League giants agreed to contribute £6 million of Sanchez’s £391,000 weekly salary for the 10 months he would be on loan at the club.

Inter will then pay £9.46 million of the 30-year-old’s wages, plus a loan fee to Old Trafford.

Sanchez has endured a catastrophic 18 month at Old Trafford since he arrived from Arsenal in January 2018.

He has scored only five goals in 45 games, and has not played for the club this season, after he sustained a hamstring injury while playing for his country at last month’s Copa America.

His last United goal was in the FA Cup at Arsenal in January, and he has not played full 90 minutes for United since the opening day of last season.

Manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had suggested that the former Barcelona forward could have a key role at United this season after the departure of Romelu Lukaku, but he will now join the Belgian in Italy.

Sanchez once played in the Serie A with Udinese, before he joined Barcelona in 2011.
