Manchester United forwards, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez are doubtful for Sunday’s derby clash against City, Dailymail has said.
Lukaku missed United’s wins over Bournemouth and Juventus due to a hamstring injury. He has however returned to light training, but may not be fit for the game against the Cityzens at the Etihad.
Jose Mourinho, the team manager, admitted before the 2-1 win over the Italian giants, that he was not certain the Belgium striker would recover in time for the match.
Sanchez, who has led the attack line in Lukaku’s absence, was substituted in Italy after suffering a ‘dead leg’.
The Chilean was seen applying ice to his thigh after coming off in discomfort.
Manchester City are yet to suffer a defeat in the league this season. The champions are on top of the log with 29 points, nine ahead of United.
