Federer Moves To Third On ATP Rankings

Former world number one, Roger Federer, has returned to third in the latest ATP rankings released on Monday.

The Swiss replaced Alexander Zverev, after the German, who is the reigning champion  of Munich Open, was knocked out in the quarter-finals.

The 2019 Miami Open champion was deposed from the position by Zverez, but gathered more points to return to the spot following his victory in the United States of America.

Federer, who has a record 20 Grand Slams titles, is making a return to the clay court at the Madrid Open this week. The 38-year-old had been absent for three years.

Meanwhile,Novak Djokovic remains the world number one ahead of Rafael Nadal, marking his 250th week in the position, which had only been achieved by four other players in the past.
