Eden Hazard appears to have played his last game for Chelsea, after admitting “I think it is goodbye”, following the Europa League final win over Arsenal in Baku on Wednesday.
The Belgian scored twice as Chelsea won 4-1, ending the season with the first trophy of Maurizio Sarri’s 20-year managerial career.
During a post-match interview with BT Sport, Hazard stated that a decision on his future would be made in the coming days.
But when he was asked to provide clearer answer regarding his future, the former Lille player said:
“I’ve made my decision and I told Chelsea two weeks ago. I’m just waiting on both clubs to decide now. I think it’s goodbye. I’ve done this for 7 years and now it’s time for a new challenge.”
The Belgium captain scored 110 goals and provided 92 assists in 352 appearances for the Blues in seven years.
He won two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, one FA Cup and one EFL Cup.
