Ashanti Cancels Concert After Selling Just 24 Tickets

Veteran recording artist Ashanti had a dull weekend after his show at Stony Brook University was canceled due to low sales of ticket.

The former Murda Ink songstress was expected to perform at the University’s “Back To Brook” event later this month. But according to sources, that show was cancelled after selling just 24 tickets to the scheduled concert.

The university released a statement that stated, “As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion. However, we have struggled to execute certain aspects. With a week before the concert, only 24 tickets are sold to students.

The university also went on to state that they had originally booked G.O.O.D Music recording artist Teyana Taylor for the show but she ended up pulling out the performance last minute, leaving the organizers to hurry and find a new act asap which led to the poorly promoted show that Ashanti was suppose to headline at the university.
