Rihanna didn't seem to get their joke because takes it as being ignorant and insensitive to domestic violence. She claims that it will be demoralising to victims who have suffered from domestic violence especially those who haven't come out yet.

You spent money to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to DV (domestic violence) victims and made a joke of it! This isn't about my personal feelings, cause I don't have much of them...but all the women, children and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven't made it out yet....you let us down! Shame on you."
There is a high possibility that SNAPCHAT might be planning to close the company because if we think Kylie Jenner's tweet about her loss of interest in snapchat murdered the app, Rihanna's criticism has finally buried the app. The company plummeted by $1billion OUCH!
