Why I Kicked A Fan On Stage – Burna Boy

Nigerian wave making singer, Burna Boy, has apologised for angrily kicking a fan for trying to rob him while performing on stage in Zambia.

The singer, over the weekend thrilled his fans to the fullest while performing one of his hit songs on stage. In a video that surfaced online, the singer was seen brashly kicking a fan who was trying to reach out to him. But the livid singer kicked the fan.

Following the singer’s action, Zambians took to social media to call out the ‘On The Low’ singer, compelling him to apologise for his action.

A particular Twitter user named @muziqDowntown, shared a clip from the concert which showed Burna Boy stamping on a particular fan’s hands with his feet. Then, this was followed by a caption that spewed out pure fire at the 28-year-old singer who has often been referred to as an African giant.

He posted the video and wrote; “Regardless of what was going on here, nothing justifies Burna boy’s irrational kicking of a fan. He could have handled it better. #Zambia must #muteBurna until he apologies #iStandwithZaambia #naija.”

However, on seeing the video, Burna Boy apologised for his action. He also revealed that he kicked the fan because he was trying to steal from him at the show.

“I am sorry about how it looks but this person continuous tried to rob me on stage. It was like the 10th attempt to do it after telling him several times to stop . This wasn’t a fan. Apologies for how it looks but it’s not the case at all. I appreciate all my fans.”
