Reactions have continued to trail the controversy concerning Cynthia Morgan and Jude Okoye with both parties coming out to share their side of the story.
Following the various allegations being brandished around, some media personalities have taken to their social media handle to further air their opinion on the matter.
Media personality Toke Makinwa took to her twitter page to assert the following. Her post read;
“There has to be more ways to settle this Talent/record label/management relationships, nobody wins when there is no resolve, monies are still owed, talent is still wasting, there is a bigger picture that pride/ego rubs everybody of when we refuse to see the big picture.”
She added: “If Talent wants to leave or no longer serves purpose to a label, remove feelings and look at ways that they can go, become bigger and pay your debt. Nobody makes anyone, there was talent there, that’s why you chose to invest, let them go and focus on how they pay your investment.”
“Money is invested in the hope of making more money, if more money can’t be made at least what is owed should be paid back, withholding means of payment back serves no one any good, rather create an environment where your investment is protected, get your money and move on”. She continued
It’s easier said than done, I may not have all the answers, it is a sad situation for both parties, hoping they both can work something out. I’m such a huge fan of Cynthia Morgan and I can’t deny the genius that Jude is too. We just want music. She concluded.

OAP Dotun also reacted to the issue stating Cynthia Morgan was a promising artiste who was on fire before everything went awry.
He wrote;
“On the real I don’t understand why we all don’t see how wrong these things can turn out. Cynthia Morgan was a promising artiste. This girl was literally on fire. You took her name, took her growth. Why can’t you renegotiate? This has moved from just business to sheer wickedness. He posted
He continued;
I don’t think some things are right. She literally kept quiet for this long. wow!… Cynthia Morgan was a praaaaaablem! .. you had a talent like that and instead of growing it and owning it, you threw it away and decided to ruin it… for what really?
I played her joints on radio. Listen, she was a one in a million breakthrough star. I remember introducing her at the Star Trek in Benin.. oh my!..sometimes find need to be reviewed no matter how hard. You can’t run a label with an ego cos u will be hurt or make wrong decisions
I think reviewing a contract just makes more sense. You can hold and own her stake and let her run free. It all to your advantage. Not defending any artiste cos they can be very selfish too but mehn in this case, e don do… haba! He concluded.

OAP Gbemi also joined the conversation centered on contract saga.
In tweets she shared, the media personality stated that people who can’t let go of N5k are asking record labels being owed millions to “just forgive and forget“. Gbemi also advised people going into any contract-signing deal to get good lawyers.
She tweeted;
“Artiste o, Label o, Entrepreneur o, investor o- get good lawyers . Read your contracts well. And do your best to be fair.
She continued
“Some of you here will not allow a 5,000 Naira debt go but you’re asking a record label that is being owed millions by an artiste to “just forgive and forget “ . Hilarious . Stop asking others to do what you cannot do.
Orishirishi stories . I always say I should write a book but I’m busy abeg + you people like to download books and not buy .
A lot of people think it’s just for an artiste to record a hot song (as if that it easy ) and the artiste just blows. There’s so much more that happens @bizzleosikoya do you want to do a thread or IG live to discuss this ? And the approximate cost to break an artiste in?
It’s also because people still don’t understand that this is business . People are feeding their families from this
I don’t care how talented your artiste is . Money must be spent . Recording sessions , mixing /mastering , their look, publicity , perception , their videos . Etc . There’s so much money being spent . And we don’t even do it properly in Naija. More is spent abroad”. She concluded.
