Real Madrid To Launch Eden Hazard Bid In January

Real Madrid are ready to make an offer for Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard in the January transfer window, according to a report in Spain.

Spanish media outlet OK Diario, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to break tradition and attempt to land a marquee signing in January.

The same article states that Perez wants to help new Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari develop an identity within los Blancos’ team.

According to the same story, Real Madrid have placed the Belgium international at the top of their wish list ahead of the January transfer window.

The Spanish newspaper goes on to suggest that Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi could be a potential alternative if Hazard proves to be unattainable.

The Chelsea FC number 10 has little over 18 months left to run on his current deal at the west London side to fuel speculation surrounding his future.

Hazard has scored seven goals in 12 games in the Premier League this season to help Chelsea FC to challenge for the Premier League title.

The former Lille forward was unable to help Chelsea FC avoid a 3-1 loss to bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last weekend.

Chelsea FC aren’t competing in the Champions League this season after the Blues finished in fifth spot in the Premier League last term.
