Joycelyn Savage, one of R. Kelly’s girlfriends and alleged sex slave who hasn’t talked to her family in two years, will finally be reunited with her family soon.
And according to TMZ, R. Kelly’s team is actually making it happen. They have agreed to arrange for Joycelyn to meet with her family members face-to-face sometime early next week.
After R. Kelly’s interview with Gayle yesterday aired and Joycelyn’s family held a press conference condemning Kelly and begging their daughter to get in touch, Joycelyn reached out to her parents by phone and reiterated that she remains with Kelly by choice.
“I’ve told you guys a million, million times, that I’m OK and I’m very happy, you know where I’m at,” Joycelyn Savage, 23, kept saying on the phone call to the office of her family’s Atlanta lawyer, Gerald Griggs.
According to Gerald Griggs, an attorney for the Savage family, it was the first time the Savages spoke to their daughter since 2017. Savage’s parents have long claimed that R. Kelly brainwashed their daughter into staying with him.
Joycelyn’s mother, Jonjelyn Savage, and her sisters, Jori, 11, and Jailyn, 18, kept asking her: “When are you coming home?”
“How do we know you’re happy if we haven’t heard from you for two years? Why can’t you call your family or friends or come to your grandfather’s funeral or talk to your grandmother who has Stage 4 cancer?”
Joycelyn hung up after about three minutes.
