Nollywood actress, Omotola jalade-Ekeinde, has expressed happiness after most the movies she nominated made it to the nomination list of the 2019 Oscar Awards.
The actress alongside filmmaker Femi Odugbemi were among the 928 members invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization that oversees the Oscars.
The academy organises and decides the nominations for the universally-acclaimed Oscars award for motion pictures.
Omotola, who took to Instagram, revealed that she voted as a member of The Academy in generating the Oscars nominee list.
Though, she expressed her displeasure that no African movie made the nominees’ list
“The Nominations are Out! So glad Most of the Movies I nominated made it. Next , Voting to determine the Winners!… Wasn’t So Exited No African Movie made it ! Someday soon we will Be doing this for Africans! Till then… which were your best movies of 2018?”
