Leave 'Trophyless' Liverpool - Egypt Coach Advises Mo Salah

Javier Aguirre, the Egyptian national team coach, has urged forward, Mohammed Salah, to leave Liverpool if the club fails to win a trophy soon.

Salah was linked with a move to Real Madrid last summer, following his record-breaking first season at Liverpool, where he scored 44 goals in all competitions.

The former AS Roma forward later signed a new five-year contract extension last July.

The Reds have not won only one trophy since 2006.

Aguirre said it “may be better” for Salah to leave Anfield sooner rather than later if they do not start winning trophies.

“It may be better for him to leave within a season or two if Liverpool doesn’t win any titles.”

Salah helped his national team qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Also, his goal last weekend against Tunisia, secured a place for Egypt in next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
