I’ll Build My Team Around Pogba - Solskjaer Insists

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has insisted that he would still build his team around want-away midfielder, Paul Pogba.

Pogba had been vocal of his desire to leave the club this summer, saying he wants a “new challenge.”

Solskjaer had advised the club last year August while at Norwegian side, Molde, that the Frenchman should be made the focal point of the team.

Eleven months after taking over the United job, Solskjaer has continued to maintain that he would build the team around the former Juventus star, despite the 26-year-old and his agent, Mino Raiola, publicly saying it was time to quit United.

Asked if he still believes Pogba is the man to get United back to the top, Solskjaer replied: “Paul is a fantastic player, a fantastic human being and has always been a great professional.

“I’ve had a great relationship with him, I had him in the reserves a few years back.

“And I said [previously], ‘if he’s in your squad, you’d build your team around him’, and I haven’t changed that much since then, so I would say the same now.”
