I Wish I’m Nigerian - SA Rapper, Cassper Nyovest

South African ace rapper, Cassper Nyovest, has said he wished he was a Nigerian, saying Nigerians love and celebrate their artistes in all ramifications.

The BET award-nominee made this known via his Twitter, while extolling the unity of Nigerians.

The ‘Move For Me’ artiste, who was nominated for the BET Best International Act award back in 2018, alongside two other Nigerian music artistes, Tiwa Savage and Davido, said in his tweet, he likes how Nigerians love and celebrate their own culture and indulge in it more.

“Won’t even lie. I wish i was from Nigeria too. The love they have for their own artists, the way they celebrate their culture, 90% local content on radio and TV, there way they celebrate their music no matter where they are in the world, the unity within their industry. A DREAM!”

Cassper’s tweet was however fazed with mixed reactions both from his countrymen and those from Nigeria – some touched on how he can change the narrative of music in his country, while others shared how a number of Nigerians are supportive of his music too.
