Music star, Esegine Orezi Allen popularly known as Orezi grabbed the headlines for all the negative reasons when he released the graphics for his first single of 2019, “Born Broke Die Rich”.
The singer released the artwork for the single where he was seen burning naira note, this got fans angry and they came for him with nasty comments on social media.
Orezi in a chat with Hiphop World Magazine cleared the air on the Born Broke Die Rich art maintaining that it was just mere graphics.
According to him,
”I burn wetin be like money. I wouldn’t burn money. If you look at the picture very well you’ll see that the fire was in my eye, it was graphics.
It was merely acting. I was shooting my movie and I just decided to crop that out from a scene and use it for my album.
The essence of burning the money is a metaphorical display of the fact that people want to kill and die because of money and it’s not worth it.
I wasn’t devaluing the money. I was amazed with the fact that people came to my DM and were insulting me saying God punish me and my fans this year. EFCC should arrest me and all of that. I mean they are obviously not my fans and thunder go fire them”
