Singer Chukwudi Ben Agali popularly known as Chuddy K has applauded stars who have emanated from Ajegunle saying it is always usually rough starting up from there. Speaking to Hiptv, he said he was born and bred there and he knows what it takes to survive as upcoming act in that part of Lagos.
According to him, there is a lot of hunger in Ajegunle and that’s the major reason it has produced a lot of stars. Chuddy K describes his musical journey to be topsy turvy and tough but promise to stage a comeback in no time.
On why he’s yet to make a mark in the industry ,he posited that he has made some wrong decisions in the past and it has affected his music career. He said he’s been denied some royalties from some quarters but hopes he meets a new team that will make things better.
Addressing the controversy surrounding the nonrecognition of songwriters in the industry, he posited that they deserve accolades and recognition , saying they are the people who make things happen in the industry.
He added that there is no love lost in the industry, as many music CEOs are only particular about their artistes. ” There was a time a particular CEO paid just to stop my songs from being played inorder to have his artistes songs enjoy more playtime on radio.
