Gonzalo Higuain To Leave Chelsea After Loan Deal

Chelsea are not interested in extending loan deal for Gonzalo Higuain, a report says.

Daily Mirror reports that the club have been unimpressed by the Argentine’s performance since arriving on loan from AC Milan in January.

The former Juventus’ striker has scored just three goals in seven Premier League appearances since moving to Stamford Bridge.

The London club were offered the option of extending the loan deal for one more season for €18 million, or make the move permanent for €36 million.

However, the former Napoli striker is expected to return to Juventus, his parent club, at the end of the season.

The report further stated that the 31-year-old may have to look for a new club, saying the Serie A champions have no plans to take the player back.

According to Daily Mirror, the Old Ladies could be forced to sell Higuain for € 36 million, which would indicate a huge loss for the club.

The club had loaned him to Milan in the summer, following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, but he experienced the worst campaigns of his career, netting only six times in eighteen matches.

He now has only two months left to prove his critics wrong and convince Chelsea to give him a chance.
