EFCC Denies Demanding N30 Million Bail Bond From Naira Marley, Others

Economic financial crime commission (EFCC), has dispelled the rumour making round that musician Afeez Fashola A.K.A Naira Marley who was arrested over an alleged cyber-crime, alongside 4 others bailed himself for N30million naira.

Hiphop World Magazine visited EFCC on May 17, 2019, where an authoritative source told us off camera that no money was demanded to bail the suspects.

According to the source, after a thorough investigation, Naira Marley was the only suspect found wanting among 5 of the people arrested on May 10, 2019, for having link with cybercrime.

The source also revealed that Naira Marley was asked to provide 2 sureties of high profile people who had no criminal records and owned landed properties in Nigeria.

The artiste’s international passport was also seized.

Whether Naira Marley has met his bail conditions as at press time could not be confirmed.

Meanwhile, Naira Marley has been slammed with 11 count charges by EFCC and would be arraigned in Ikoyi high court.

We shall serve you more updates as soon as we get them.
