The Nigerian writer was honoured with a humanitarian award at the 2018 Action Against Hunger Gala held at 583 Park Avenue on October 30, 2018, in New York City.
Adichie was presented with the Humanitarian Award by CEO of the organization, Andrea Tamburini.
The organisation hosts hundreds of Action Against Hunger’s most dedicated supporters every years for an evening of inspiration and hope.
At this year’s event, supporters were given the opportunity to reflect upon Action Against Hunger’s mission to save the lives of children worldwide, and also to witness the presentation of the organisation’s most prestigious award, The Action Against Hunger Humanitarian Award, to individuals and corporations that have significant contributions to the humanitarian field.
Adichie was a recipient this year.
