Bukola Saraki Loses Kwara Central Senatorial Seat To APC's Oloriegbe

The chances of Senator Bukola Saraki, the Senate Saraki, the Senate President, returning to the Senate have been extinguished after he lost his re-election bid in Saturday’s Kwara Central senatorial district election.

 

The Senate President, who ran under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was defeated by Ibrahim Oloriegbe, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Senate President lost the election in Ilorin South, Ilorin West, Ilorin East and Asa local government areas.

According to the results declared by the INEC Senatorial District Returning Officer, Olatunbosun Owoyomi, Oloriegbe polled 123, 808 votes to defeat Saraki, who scored 68, 994 votes
