Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is leading in Saturday’s presidential election in Plateau State, winning six out of the eight local councils declared.
The election took place in all the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
According to the results declared by the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC), the PDP candidate has so far secured a total of 248, 210 votes, while President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored a total of 138, 268 votes.
Atiku won in Bokkos, Jos South, Mikang, Kanke, Pankshin and Langtang South LGAs, Buhari won in Qua’anpan and Jos East LGAs.
