Arsenal, Chelsea Set Up All-English Europa League Final

A hat-trick from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and a solitary strike from Alexandre Lacazette, saw Arsenal beat Valencia 4-2 at the Mestalla to go through 7-3 on aggregate.

Valencia’s two goals were scored by Kevin Gameiro.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea edged Frankfurt 4-3 on penalties after the second leg ended 1-1, bringing aggregate score to 2-2.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek gave Chelsea the lead in the 28th minute before Luka Jovic equalised for Frankfurt in the 49th minute.

Arsenal will be making their first European final appearance since 2006, and their second Europa League final since 2000 when it was known then as UEFA CUP.

For Chelsea, their last Europa League final appearance was in 2013 when they beat Benfica 2-1.

The final will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan on 29 May.

Arsenal and Chelsea final qualification means for the first time in European club football history all four finalists are from one country.
