Alexis Sanchez Refuses Manchester United Exit

Alexis Sanchez is said to be frustrating efforts by Manchester United to sell him this summer.

According to Dailymail, the forward has insisted that he wants to stay at Old Trafford and fight for a place, despite manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, threatening to drop him to the bench if he doesn’t accept offers from interested clubs.

Italian clubs, AS Roma, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli, are all said to be interested in the Chilean, following his performance at the 2019 Copa America in Brazil, where his country reached the semi-final.

Solskjaer, ahead of last week’s Premier League encounter against Chelsea at Old Trafford, said the former Gunners’ star was five weeks away from the fitness level of other players at the club, after he sustained an injury in the third-place match at the South American continental competition  against Argentina.

Sanchez, who joined United from Arsenal in January 2018, has endured a frustrating time at the club, scoring just five goals.

The 30-year-old’s wages, which is reportedly worth £490,000 a week, is also said to be a problem with interested clubs
