Birthdays are huge, another 365 days of existence gone they are worth celebrating no doubt, but we should not forget that they are just another 24 hours and that your so much cherished birthday is someone else's business as usual day so calm down.
A birthday is an important and momentous occasion, that comes once a year. It is a time to celebrate, reflect and give thanks to God for keeping us alive to witness another one.
Gifts, cakes, candles, candies, parties, turn ups and all flow in the spirit of birthday celebration and boom, the day is gone, some even celebrate it for one long week and in different cities.
In as much as we wouldn’t like to spoil your party mood, it is important to do your birthday expenses according to what you can actually afford and not be tempted by social media.
Majority of us fall victim of celebrating birthdays in a flamboyant ways we can’t actually afford, we go the extra mile and cry later for our loses having splash funds for fun seekers who won’t be there to see you cry.
Birthday celebration is not a ‘do or die’ affair. Notwithstanding, it is special day to many, regardless of one’s religious background. But we should learn to be moderate while doing the expenses. social media will not be there when you are counting your loses, family and friends that got wasted with your alcohol, will forget your party quick and some will even say you didn’t spend enough.
Do your birthday budget well, spend moderately and have fun without having to tear your pocket or borrow.
