Micheal Elegbede is a Nigerian cook who attended The University of Illinois at Chicago to study Biology hoping to become a doctor. He discovers his enthusiasm in domestic jobs, specifically cooking which he developed during his childhood. He worked with his mother and grandmother to run a local restaurant that also served as cooking school for young women.
He started his culinary career at the Alliance Bakery in Chicago while embarking on the educational aspect in the Culinary Institute of America Greystone in California, where he attained a degree in Culinary Art. Thereby studying the intricacies of cooking. Other notable Nigerian chefs are Gbubemi Fregene, Alex Oke, Raphael Duntoye, Iquo Ukoh and the others.
