The 30-year-old Jonas Brother and his 24-year-old British actress wife have given assistance to the East LA Doctors Hospital by donating food via the Fueling The Fearless charity organisation.
The meals went directly to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals who are treating and caring for coronavirus victims in the hospital.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Fueling The Fearless expressed thanks to the celebrity couple for their donation.
“A BIG THANK YOU to @joejonas @sophiet @philymack @shondamcintyre for donating 100 meals to East LA Doctors Hospital,” the charity wrote while sharing photos of some of the hospital employees.
“This hospital is in the heart of downtown LA and serves a vastly underprivileged community with limited resources and support. The staff work tirelessly to care for the community and those often forgotten,” the post continued.
“Through these type of fully paid sponsorships @alikisgreektaverna and her donors bring a moment of relief to a most grateful staff.
“One hot meal let’s them know we are all in this together.”
The post concluded: “So again, thank you @joejonas @sophiet @philymack @shondamcintyre for taking care of LA nurses and doctors.”
Joe and Sophie have been entertaining fans from isolation by taking to social media to share videos and photos of what they have been up to and taking part in Q&A sessions with fans over social media.The couple have also been spied walking their dogs in Los Angeles while out wearing face masks and gloves.
While Sophie has continued to fuel speculation she is pregnant with her first baby as she has been wearing oversized coats leading some to suspect she is hiding a baby bump.
Meanwhile Sophie herself has been left amused, or possibly offended, by husband Joe’s lockdown style – branding him a “psychopath” for some of his isolaton fashion choices.
